The Angel Bit - Quarry Mining

The Angel Bit - Quarry Mining
  • The Angel Bit - Quarry Mining

Quarry Mining has recently begun manufacturing and trailing an alternative drill bit to the traditionally used 27 and 28mm 2 wing coal bits – the Angel Bit – for improveds safety.
Much success has been achieved with respect to safety and timeliness of drilling to ensure production time does not suffer. Features and advantages of the Angel Bit are as follows:

• Available in 27 and 28mm M16

• Successfully trialed in NSW coal mines

• Minimises risk of entanglement in mesh

• The bit will either cut or roll off the mesh compared to a standard 2 wing bit whereby entanglement was possible

• 2 wing design enables flushing properties to be equivalent of the traditional design

• Negative rake to promote aggressive drilling ability

• Faster penetration than standard spade bit – improved drilling time

• Less likely to block in soft or clay type conditions
• Suitable for roof and rib drilling
Quarry Mining proudly donates 10 cents from the sale of every Angel Bit to the Westpac Rescue Helicopter.
