Scanalyse, the Perth-based provider of laser scanning based Condition Monitoring services for wear liners in Grinding Mills and Gyratory Crushers has recently appointed new staff to enhance its presence in key mining regions. These include: Steve Hall in Perth, Igor Elias & Efraín Moya in Chile, and Tom Gabardi in the USA.
At the International Mineral Processing Congress held in Brisbane in September 2010 the new CrusherMapper™ product was formally released by Scanalyse Chief Technical Officer Jochen Franke. Already CrusherMapper is in regular use for mapping wear shapes of Concaves and Mantles in large Gyratory crushers from 42-65 up to 60-113 sizes in Australia, Chile and USA.
At the November-2010 Mining Magazine Global Mining Congress in Perth the Scanalyse MillMapper™ product was selected as the 2010 Award winner in the Category – Mineral Processing, Ancillary & Analysis.
Meanwhile MillMapper™ has become increasingly integrated into asset management and condition monitoring programs at a wide range of mine sites through Australia, PNG, SE-Asia, Chile, Bolivia, Brazil, USA and parts of Africa. Grinding mills regularly scanned range from 5-metres diameter up to 12.2 metres – including many of the largest SAG mills currently in service. Recent breakthroughs have included mill scanning and data processing contracts for all nine grinding mills at Antofagasta Minerals Los Pelambres mine in central Chile – this brings the total quantity of mills under regular scanning to more than one hundred units located in Australia and around the world.
