Ausenco has been awarded a Create Phase Engineering Services contract for the USD 1.8 billion Bozshakol copper project owned by Kazakhmys. Kazakhmys awarded the Create phase engineering services contract for the USD 1.8 billion Bozshakol copper project to Ausenco.

South Brisbane (QLD), Australia – Ausenco Minerals and Metals business will be providing engineering services for copper concentrator plant that is estimated to have a throughput of around 28 million tonnes per annum. The Bozshakol copper project is located on a greenfield site near the village of Bozshakol, approximately 220 kilometres Northeast of Astana in North Eastern Kazakhstan. On 8 September 2011 Ausenco announced it had received a Letter of Intent to deliver two projects worth AUD 70 million in revenue.
