SME exporters in a high dollar world
Many exporters in the manufacturing and service sectors are struggling to cope with a high Australian dollar that is damaging their export competitiveness. At the same time, resource exporters are doing very well, despite a roughly 20% increase in the value of the Australian dollar since 2006, their sales have grown by nearly 150%.


Austmine in association with Trade & Investment Queensland will again host Mining World Russia 2012 at the Australian Mining Technology Pavilion in Moscow, 24 - 26 April, giving member companies the opportunity to showcase their products and services to the international mining communities from Russia, CIS countries and other international visitors.


Austmine in partnership with Vale and Trade & Investment Queensland will lead a mission to the world class Carajas Mineral Province in northern Brazil, 15 - 20 April 2012, and first-hand experience the gigantic open-cut operations and production plants, visit the mining hub in Belo Horizonte as well as meeting with Vale’s procurement executives at the headquarters in Rio de Janeiro.


Among the 565 delegates, at the 44TH Canadian Mineral Processor Conference, which was a new record, there were 20 delegates registered from Australian and Austmine member companies.
