Entrepreneurs' Programme

The Entrepreneurs' Programme is an Australian Government initiative to promote business competitiveness and productivity by providing free, confidential support to SME's that want to improve performance or drive growth. The programme involves a wide range of practical services that are customised to suit the needs of individual businesses.

Austmine partners with the Australian Government in delivering the programme for the Mining Equipment, Technology and Services (METS) sector and the Oil, Gas and Resources Sector. We have seven, independent, industry-experienced, Business Advisers and Facilitators based around Australia.

The Business Advisors work one-on-one with SMEs to identify the most appropriate services within the programme. They analyse the business’s environment and operations, provide insights and identify practical solutions to leverage opportunities and/or resolve challenges. The Business Facilitator works with larger companies and their supply chain to improve capability and efficiency of the supply chain.

The primary focus is on providing connections to the most appropriate advice and networks to assist the business achieve their goals. The advice is supported by access to financial assistance to deliver the desired capability improvements.

While the programme is individually customised, typical areas of assistance include:

  • Digital Strategy
  • Product and service development/commercialisation
  • Marketing and Communications strategies to improve communication of business capability
  • Business and diversification strategy
  • Operational improvements
  • Market research
  • Access and connections to a network of research and development expertise

Along with the one-on-one assistance, the Entrepreneurs’ Programme provides access to training and knowledge development through its Learning Events programme. Learning Events are run in conjunction with Austmine and cover a broad range of topics from improving cash flow, to how to win more work and export development. Learning Events are run as half or one-day workshops or webinars, and are free to attend.

Your Austmine Business Advisor/Facilitator will be able to identify the most appropriate service for your circumstances and confirm your eligibility for the programme.
