The Bloomfield Group at Austmine's Smart Mining Networking Event

Event Begins: 4 May 2017 4:00 PM   Ends: 4 May 2017 6:00 PM
Venue: Novotel Newcastle Beach, 5 King Street, Newcastle NSW 2300

Austmine is excited to welcome John Richards, Chairman of The Bloomfield Group, to our Smart Mining Networking event in Newcastle.

Bloomfield maintains an appetite for innovation which leads to greater efficiency or capability, whilst always keeping an eye on the cost.

As a privately owned company, Bloomfield, has a very nimble and flexible strategy for achieving approval of suitable research projects.  A streamlined approach has enabled a number of long term partnerships with Universities, Industry Bodies and private operators to develop new technologies in the coal industry.

John will discuss several of Bloomfields innovative technologies and strategies and how they have affected the bottomline. Including: the Reflux Classifier, the Solid Bowl Centrifuge in the CHPP and a new predictive noise model for the operation of the open cuts. Bloomfield continues to look to its people and innovation for its ongoing success

John started with the Australian owned Bloomfield Group in 2002. The company has been in business for 78 years with its two open cut mines in East Maitland and Singleton. Coal from both sites is railed to Port Waratah Coal Services.

John has a long and varied experience in working with The Bloomfield Group, giving him unique insights into what is most needed from the METS Sector. Join us as John takes a look at how innovative technology has helped to grow the projects run by The Bloomfield Group, including the Bloomfield Colliery and Rix Creek.

With special thanks to our Platinum Sponsor Techenomics and our Gold Sponsor McLanahan
