About the Speakers

Rick Yabsley, Director, Bacchus Associates has over 30 years experience as a Chartered Accountant and SME specialist. He is a Director of Bacchus Exports, an export advisory entity and regular shipper of goods (food and beverages, building materials and specialist chemicals) to the South Pacific and beyond. Rick is also a registered Tax Agent and an Austrade Code of Practice Export Grant Consultant. During this time, Rick and his team have assisted in the preparation and lodgement of over 1000 successful Export Market Development Grants.

Sandra Gillanders, CEO, Hy-Performance Fluid Power her current role encompasses responsibilities in strategic planning, business growth and development, risk management, business management, HR, and financial control.  

Hy-Performance Fluid Power is a global specialist in a niche, improving and supplying OEM hydraulic components for blast hole drills to outperform OEM components at lower cost saving their mining customers millions per drill in expenditure and increasing availability and productivity.  Their customers operate in coal, gold, diamond, copper, iron ore, nickel, zinc, silver, uranium and minerals mines and are  spread across Australia, the Pacific, Asia, Russia, Africa, North  America, South America and the EU.

As a strategic and transformational leader, Sandra has successfully led the organisation through major change from a small family business to global best practice, attested by the company’s numerous recent wins in national awards.  The business has not only weathered the mining industry downturn, but is a global brand with international representation experiencing business growth.

Sandra’s business and leadership acumen is independently recognised through her awards in entrepreneurship, business champion, twice as Telstra Businesswoman of the year and recent winner of four global International Stevie Awards for women in business.
