Live Webinar: The Year Ahead for Mining & METS

Event Begins: 1 Feb 2018 12:30 PM   Ends: 1 Feb 2018 1:00 PM
Venue: Online

2018 is set to be a critical year for the mining and METS sectors. Significant growth opportunities are expected for the mining sector, with reduced volatility for a range of commodities and a renewed focus on productivity to get more from assets.

However, this will take place in an environment where uncertainty is pervasive, with increasing community expectations regarding social licence to operate, rapidly changing technological conditions and global political instability.

Austmine will be joined by Paul Mitchell, Global Mining & Metals Advisory Leader at EY for our first webinar of the year to explore the key issues and themes that will dictate what lies ahead in the mining sector for 2018. This is an excellent opportunity to hear from one of the leading minds in our sector and to gain insight into how your business may be affected by market conditions next year.

Paul will cover the following topics in his presentation:

  • Commodity outlook and demand conditions in 2018;
  • The greatest risks in the market in 2018, including leveraging technology, growing competition, environmental and social expectations and regulatory risks, and what this means for Australian METS;
  • Emerging markets and new frontiers for miners and METS.

Following Paul’s presentation, he will answer questions from the live audience. Make sure to come prepared with your key questions you want answered when tuning into the webinar.
