EXPANDE invites you to prequalify for a new challenge of the Escondida Mine "Optimizing Chute Assembly and Disassembly Activities".

Technological solutions are sought to reduce the number of hours used to assemble and disassemble chutes from ball mills during maintenance tasks at concentrator plants. An improvement in the duration of the clamping tasks of coupling systems is expected, without producing operational risks.

EXPANDE invites you to prequalify for a new challenge of BHP's Escondida Mine "Reduction of humidity in gravel and an intelligent transportation system to dumps".

Escondida Mine currently processes oxidized minerals with different mineralogies and qualities, which depend mainly on the clay and/or fine particles content. After passing through the primary crusher, the ores are sent to the stock pile from where the secondary crushing plant is fed in variable proportions to obtain the copper grade required by the process.

Cleaning in Conveyor Systems

Deadline: Monday 25th May 2020.

EXPANDE invites you to prequalify for a new challenge of BHP's Escondida and Spence Mines "Cleaning in conveyor systems and increasing their continuity".

Solutions are sought that allow for the cleaning of conveyor belt systems without requiring a stop in operation. The cleaning of the following components is considered: belts, structures, pulleys, tail pulleys, heads, aisles and floors, among others.

This was originally published by BHP in South Flank’s ‘PULSE’ magazine. Over the next few months, around 50 kilometres of belt will be progressively fitted to a homegrown engineering wonder – the first all composite roller overland conveyor in the Pilbara. The idlers for the conveyor system...

EXPANDE invites you to prequalify for a new challenge of Antofagasta Minerals' Antucoya Mine “Ensuring the mechanical stability of a gravel dump”.

Due to the presence of a high quantity of fines and humidity in the reclaimed tailings, the material has a low resistance for the transit of equipment and installation of the infrastructure, therefore, an activity has been incorporated that ensures the load capacity in specific areas of the tailings dump.

Deadline: Monday 1st June 2020.

EXPANDE invites you to prequalify for a new challenge of Teck's Carmen de Andacollo Mine “Reduction of vibration produced by blasting in open pit mine”.

During the extraction of minerals in open pit mines, blasting operations are carried out producing shock waves and therefore vibration and noise that can be perceived by the inhabitants of nearby settlements. Vibration levels will depend on a number of factors and variables that mining planning must consider.
