Increasing Productivity and Throughput for Evolution Mining

Increasing Productivity and Throughput for Evolution Mining

Evolution Mining saves up to A$200,000 in total ownership costs with the Warman® MCR® pump.

Evolution Mining’s Cracow site in Queensland, Australia, was searching for a solution to increase productivity and throughput.

The two existing pumps were inefficient due to the short wear life and high total cost of ownership.

To improve wear life and reduce plant downtime, Weir Minerals installed a Warman® MCR® 150EE pump with rubber liners, metal impeller and metal throatbush. This solution was selected as the rubber provides excellent wear life in this application. Furthermore, the metal throatbush can be adjusted when the pump is running, helping to maximise throughput.

The MCR® 150EE pump lasted more than triple the life of the incumbent pumps and reduced total ownership costs.
