Kazakhmys intends to invest over 267 bln tenge in upgrade, expansion of production until 2025

Kazakhmys Corporation LLP plans to allocate more than 267 billion tenge (333.36 tenge/$1) for projects on upgrading and expanding its production capacity, the company's press office has told Interfax-Kazakhstan.
The project implementation period is 2017-2024.
Earlier at a meeting on modernization issues General Director of Kazakhmys Management Board Bakhtiyar Krykpyshev said that such areas as the construction and commissioning of six cost-effective mines, commissioning of the second stage of the Zhayman-Aibat and Shatyrkol deposits are defined as the main growth points.
This year the upgrade to the two concentrators - Karagayly and Nurkazgan – is being completed. Kazakhmys Corporation LLP, a private mining company, is the largest copper producer in Kazakhstan that owns and operates ten ore mines, five ore processing plants, two copper smelters and two coal mines in this country.
