METS Ignited Metalliferous Mining IRC Position: Call for Expressions of Interest
METS Ignited will join peers on the Metalliferous Mining Industry Reference Committee (IRC) to represent both METS and NERA sectors. IRCs drive the process of training package development and are made up of people with experience, skills and knowledge of their particular industry sector. IRCs are responsible for ensuring that training packages meet the needs of employers and they have a direct relationship with the Australian Industry and Skills Committee. IRCs are supported by independent and professional Skills Service Organisations (SSOs) to develop and review training packages, and to inform training package development priorities.
METS Ignited seeks to fill its position on the Metalliferous Mining IRC by making a selected call for Expression of Interest. This approach reflects METS Ignited’s commitment to industry to ensure the most appropriate nominee is appointed to the position. Additional details regarding the structure and role of the Metalliferous mining IRC may be reviewed in the attached document.
