Peru - Optimisation of Tailings Sedimentation In-Situ
Austmine, METS Ignited and Linkminers invite you to apply for the supply opportunity 'Optimisation of Tailings Sedimentation In-Situ'. This supply opportunity is part of the Virtual Supplier Development Program Peru.
The tailings dam at the operation has now reached its maximum level. There is also a limit at the site on the space available to increase the capacity of the current tailings dam.
New technologies are sought to optimise the tailings dam's lifetime. The solution should focus on allowing the increased capacity of the tailings dam and avoiding the use of the pit as a tailings deposit.
The mining operation involves the extraction of gold and copper by conventional open pit mining methods and the production of copper-gold concentrate through a flotation circuit. The concentrate is trucked to port and shipped to smelters.
To submit a solution, complete the challenge application form here.
Challenge submissions close on Monday 14th September at 5pm AWST / 7pm AEST
Solutions will be shortlisted and successful companies will be notified to attend a challenge Q&A session with the operations on the 22nd or 23rd September. METS companies will pitch their solutions directly to the mining company across the 29th September – 30th October.
