Peru – Optimise the Lime Slacking Process in the Metso Vertimill
Austmine, METS Ignited and Linkminers invite you to apply for the supply opportunity 'Optimise the Lime Slacking Process in the Metso Vertimill.' This opportunity is part of the Virtual Supplier Development Program (VSDP) - Peru.
The reagent dosing process (lime) is done manually and according to the operator's criteria. This can lead to over-consumption of the reagent and increased costs of operating.
A solution is sought to automate the reagent dosing process to generate efficiencies and savings.
The mining operation involves the extraction of gold and copper by conventional open pit mining and the production of copper-gold concentrate through a flotation circuit. The concentrate is trucked to port and shipped to smelters.
To submit a solution, complete the challenge application form here.
Challenge submissions close on Monday 14th September at 5pm AWST / 7pm AEST
Solutions will be shortlisted and successful companies will be notified to attend a challenge Q&A session with the operations on the 22nd or 23rd September. METS companies will pitch their solutions directly to the mining company across the 29th September – 30th October.
For any questions contact Giancarlo Tosti-Croce, Leader International Markets, METS Ignited at firstname.lastname@example.org.
