CEO Leadership Luncheon: David Moult, Chief Executive Officer, Yancoal [Event Full]

Join Austmine on Thursday 12th November 2020 for our CEO Leadership Luncheon in Sydney, featuring David Moult, Chief Executive Officer, Yancoal.

David will provide his unique perspectives on his role, drawing on over 40 years of global coal mining experience, as he offers critical insights on his pursuit of business transformation and adopting change for the workforce of the future.

The luncheon will also be an important opportunity to reconnect with senior leaders in the local mining industry, as well as providing a platform to discuss key industry challenges and emerging opportunities.

Speaker - David Moult, Chief Executive Officer, Yancoal

David Moult was appointed CEO of Yancoal in March 2020, having been an Independent Non-Executive Director since January 2018. He has over 40 years of global coal mining experience.

Mr Moult was Managing Director and CEO of Centennial Coal Company Limited from 2011 to 2017, then a non-executive director of Centennial Coal from May 2018 until January 2018. He previously held the position of Chief Operating Officer of Centennial Coal from 1998 to 2011. He worked with Joy Mining Machinery in the USA and Australia, RUB Mining PLC and British Coal in the UK.

Mr Moult is a former Chairman and Director of the Australian Coal Association Low Emissions Technology Ltd, former Director of the Minerals Council of Australia (MCA), former Chairman and Director of the New South Wales Minerals Council (NSWMC) and former Director of the Newcastle Coal Infrastructure Group (NCIG) and Port Kembla Coal Terminal.

Mr Moult holds a Master of Business Administration and a Higher National Diploma in Mining, and is a Member of the University of NSW Education Trust Advisory Committee. He is a Chartered Mining Engineer in the United Kingdom, a Fellow of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy, a Fellow of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining, a European Engineer of European Federation of National Engineering Associations and a member of the Australia Institute of Company Directors.

In 2017, Mr Moult was awarded the NSWMC award for Outstanding Contribution to Mining.
