Advanced METS Doctoral Training Centre Official Launch: 12th March 2018

The University of Newcastle (UON), through an industry-led initiative of the UON Global Impact Cluster for Energy, Resources, Food and Water are proudly launching the Advanced Mining Equipment, Technology and Services (METS)  Doctoral Training Centre.  The centre will deliver a doctoral training programme targeting specific areas of research and emphasising transferable skills training. 

The aim of the Advanced METS Doctoral Training Centre is to facilitate closer links between academia and industry, enhancing the impact of the doctoral research and producing work ready graduates. 

Collaboration with Industry provides an opportunity for our future leaders to transform innovative research into workplace practice, deepening the partnership between the University and the private sector.

Please join us for the launch of the Advanced METS Doctoral Training Centre on 12th March at 10am.

A tour of the NIER facilities to visit current research projects will take place after the proceedings.
