Presentations: AGL Energy and GHD Smart Mining Networking Event 10 June 2015

We were delighted to welcome Elisa Freitas, Manager Group Category Management (acting) at AGL Energy and Mark Read, Global Market Leader - Energy and Resources, GHD as speakers at the recent Austmine Smart Mining Networking Series Event in Melbourne on the 10th of June.

Elisa gave a very comprehensive overview of AGL's diverse power generation portfolio including base, peaking and intermediate generation plants, spread across traditional thermal generation (gas and coal) as well as renewable sources (including hydro, wind, landfill gas, biogas and solar).

Elisa also went into detail surrounding her budget, where the money is spent, how it is split between operations and energy market and finance & technology services, and what AGL are looking to buy over the next while.

Mark's key message was emphasizing the importance of aligning your company values to your clients company values, maintaining an honest and open relationship with your client resulting in a cohesive mutually beneficial partnership. The closer aligned your values are, the easier it is to innovate together and come up with solutions and process improvements saving time and money.

Both Mark and Elisa have been generous enough to share their presentations with us, both of which are available for download below.

Our next Melbourne Austmine Smart Mining Series Event is scheduled for mid-October, please keep an eye on our website and in your inbox for the details.
