Austmine Delighted to Welcome METS Ignited as an Industry Leader for Mining Equipment, Technology and Services (METS) Sector
(IMARC: MELB) METS Ignited and Austmine have strengthened their partnership with the appointment of METS Ignited as an Austmine Industry Leader. The signing of the agreement took place last week in Melbourne at the International Mining and Resources Conference (IMARC).
This extension of the relationship between Austmine, the leading industry body for the Australian mining equipment, technology and services (METS) sector and METS Ignited, the federal industry’s growth centre for METS, is an important step towards streamlining industry initiatives and ensuring the best projects are identified and implemented for the good of the sector.
Ric Gros, METS Ignited CEO said this partnership builds on the important collaboration agreement which METS Ignited and Austmine signed earlier this year, and reinforces METS Ignited’s commitment to fostering innovation and collaboration.
“METS Ignited looks forward to continue to work with Austmine as an Austmine Industry Leader to deliver on aligned mutual values of innovation, collaboration and a positive long term vision of the Australian METS sector.
“Through Austmine driven initiatives and activities, this support will help the delivery of industry development initiatives to strengthen the METS sector over the next 12 months, such as the Austmine Innovation Mentoring Program which METS Ignited has previously supported earlier this year.
“Austmine was a key partner in the development of the 2016 METS Sector Competitiveness Plan and our partnership with them will help solidify and maximise effort of industry initiatives mapped out in the plan.
Christine Gibbs Stewart, CEO of Austmine said: “We are delighted to formally welcome METS Ignited on board as an Industry Leader. It is important that as the industry association and the industry growth centre, we work together to drive competitiveness, sustainability and recognition for METS companies, both here in Australia and overseas.
“It is critical the sector knows of the important industry initiatives being driven by METS Ignited and is connected into the networks, support, and information available through Austmine.”
