Flexco Provides Solutions To Tough Load Zone Issues At QME 2018

BAULKHAM HILLS, NSW (May 17, 2018) – Flexco will once again exhibit at the Queensland Mining Expo in 2018. Flexco will focus on showcasing solutions for the entire belt conveyor system, with a focus on load zone issues.

Phil Dreghorn, Queensland Territory Manager says that the Flexco sales team will be on stand A604 to educate attendees on potential issues along the beltline, and the best solutions. Flexco also aims to facilitate advice for those with a particular challenge on the beltline.

National Sales Manager, Glenn Baxter, will also be there to present best practices regarding belt conveyor system maintenance on the 24th July, 3.15-4.00pm. The conversation will surround system audits, and Flexco’s technologically advanced audit app, which includes functions and features which allow the user to easily capture data about a belt conveyor system. The audit data can also be used as a measure to stocktake belt conveyor products and provide an inventory report.

Other issues which will be discussed during the 45 minute session, are how the right transfer chute can limit your need for added maintenance. Installing a transfer chute with the right wear liners, and the right engineering will limit spillage, belt wear, dust, belt mistracking and material degradation – meaning limited unscheduled downtime and the need for excessive maintenance.

Flexco will exhibit a DRXTM impact bed. The dynamic impact bed is engineered to ensure superior belt protection into the entire structure, not just the support bars, with added protection in the isolation mounts for added impact relief.

Flexco will also have a model transfer chute on stand, incorporating Tasman Warajay’s Technology, which forces the flow path to be manipulated, allowing for a soft and centred load, leading to less mistracking and spillage.

Flexco’s brand new urethane skirting will also be featured on Flexco’s stand. The Flexco Urethane Skirting features a 35° chamfer which eliminates the typical skirting break-in period. Available in lengths of 7.6m to ensure easy transportation, the new skirting works with the existing Flexco series of skirt clamps that offer simple serviceability: RMC1/PAL-Pak, Flex-Lok, and Flex-Seal. It is suitable for most applications: single direction or reversing belts, wet or dry conditions, old or new belts, vulcanised or mechanically spliced systems and is rated for temperatures from -30°C to 82°C.
