Diversity & Inclusion Webinar Series: How Can Companies of All Sizes Embrace Diversity?

While the mining industry and METS sector is being rapidly transformed by a range of new technologies and innovations, people remain key to our competitive future. The METS sector currently faces a monumental challenge around the topic of people. We are struggling to attract the necessary skills sets to utilise and maximise opportunities brought by new technologies.

Diversity and inclusion are critical to solving this challenge. Not only do these values create empowering workplaces that provide fulfilment beyond a salary, they foster innovative and adaptive mindsets that allow businesses to prosper in this new digital age. Beyond that, many mining companies are now considering suppliers’ workforce diversity in making final selections with contracts.

Austmine’s Diversity and Inclusion Webinar Series will explore the role of these principles in the METS sector, identifying what it means for companies and industries to embraces diversity and inclusion and the benefits of doing so.

Part 2 of the series will focus on the organisation itself. It will explore diversity and inclusion for companies operating across the full spectrum of the METS sector, from start-ups to multinationals, and from blue-collar contractors to high-tech software firms.

Topics discussed will include:

  • Putting diversity and inclusion in place for your organisation
  • Strategies to ensure diversity and inclusion programs are successful in a company of any size
  • Leading from the front – how can leaders promote D&I in their businesses?
  • The first-hand success stories of diversity and inclusion from the panel
