Mining’s Next Horizon Webinar Series: Part 1 - The Next Generation of Minerals – Powering Mining into the Future

The mining industry is ushering in a new way of operating, transformed by disruptive innovations, advanced digital technologies and the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT). This webinar series examines the rapid changes occurring in our industry and creates a vision of the future of mining.

New technologies and alternate energy are transforming minerals demand around the world.

Central to this is the battery revolution. Innovation and technological advancements are creating a future where traditional fuels like gas or diesel can be replaced by cleaner and potentially cheaper energy-storage batteries. This is driving demand for commodities needed in the production process of battery technology, including lithium, cobalt, graphite, platinum and nickel.

This webinar will examine the changing landscape of the mining industry driving demand for the next generation of minerals.

This webinar will explore:

  • Drivers of the demand and uses for the next generation of minerals
  • The global outlook for lithium and other battery commodities
  • Technology utilised for extraction and production of battery minerals
  • Key mineral deposits, jurisdictions and projects
