Optimising the Process Plant Webinar Series: Part 2 – Plant Safety and Control

Current mining conditions are characterised by declining ore grades, complex mineralisation and a deeper search for valuable orebodies. This has significantly impacted the mineral processing stage of the mining life cycle, creating cost pressures and forcing miners and METS to innovate in pursuit of long-term success and sustainability.

This webinar series will explore the key technologies, innovative systems and unique solutions presented by Australian METS that are set to forge a more productive and efficient pathway forward in mineral processing. Throughout this five-part series, experts will provide an in-depth analysis of current and emerging challenges impacting the operation of process plants, along with discussing methods of combatting these to enable optimised processing from ore extraction to producing the final product.

Part 2 of our webinar series will look at Plant Safety and Control. Many process plants still do not function as well as their operators would like, with variations in quality, high costs and inconsistent volumes of material. Fortunately, METS have developed technology and systems to improve process plant performance.

This webinar will explore the advancements in plant control and safety, brought about through automating manual tasks, accessing and utilising real-time data and integrating disparate systems.

Topics covered in this webinar include:

  • Best practices and procedures for optimising plant safety
  • Optimising maintenance procedures to boost productivity and safety
  • Automating the process plant and control systems of the future
  • Methods of reducing plant variability and improving processing stability

Our Expert Speakers:

  • Graham Kenafacke, National Practice Leader for Risk, Work Health & Safety, Willis Towers Watson
  • Brad Maurice, Vertical Manager - Mining, Siemens
  • David Greig, Key Account Manager for Mining & MRO, Henkel Adhesives
