Optimising the Process Plant Webinar Series: Part 5 – The Optimised Plant in Action

Current mining conditions are characterised by declining ore grades, complex mineralisation and a deeper search for valuable orebodies. This has significantly impacted the mineral processing stage of the mining life cycle, creating cost pressures and forcing miners and METS to innovate in pursuit of long-term success and sustainability.

This webinar series will explore the key technologies, innovative systems and unique solutions presented by Australian METS that are set to forge a more productive and efficient pathway forward in mineral processing. Throughout this five-part series, experts will provide an in-depth analysis of current and emerging challenges impacting the operation of process plants, along with discussing methods of combatting these to enable optimised processing from ore extraction to producing the final product.

Part 5 of this series will draw together information and insights generated from the previous 4 webinars to provide a wholistic view of a productive, efficient and safe mineral processing plant. This webinar will explore an optimised plant with existing technology of today, and what this may look like in the future, incorporating greater technological capacity.

The webinar will include insights from end-users about the methodologies they’ve leveraged to improve their operations, along with various case studies from Australian METS where they have worked with miners and engineering companies to boost performance.

Topics covered in this webinar include:

  • The optimised plant and what this currently looks like to industry experts
  • Continuous improvement and step changes to optimise in the future
  • Examples of best practice in minerals processing
  • A round-up and conclusion of our webinar series

Our Expert Speakers:

  • George McCullough, Director of Strategy, Interlate
  • Geoff Irvine, Rio Tinto Strategic Account Manager, Rockwell Automation
  • Matt Pyle, Senior Process Engineer, Ausenco
