MRIWA Tech Talk - Presented by Charles Elliot, Dassault Systemes

Mining companies have often been challenged to embrace digitization of their enterprises and there are many examples from other industries of ways in which this can be beneficial.

If we are to imagine a mine of tomorrow that is more sustainable, safer, more profitable, more efficient, and more socially acceptable then we have to be able to design, plan, build and market a vision that is better than the mine of today.

Our brains are designed to work in at least 3 dimensions and we can resolve many problems before they arise through site-wide collaboration in a single 3D visual environment. Maybe we can even get geologists, engineers and surveyors to talk to each other?

This presentation looks at examples of successful innovation from other industries and one means of describing this new reality, through the construction, maintenance and use of a "cradle to grave" Digital Twin using Dassault Systemes’ 3DEXPERIENCE solutions.
