Webinar: Innovations and opportunities demonstrated for a wide field of applications

Time-resolved 3D imaging with X-rays has rapidly emerged as an essential technique to understand materials evolution. Recent advances in temporal resolution make imaging of fast dynamic processes possible in the lab, where previously this was only possible at synchrotron facilities. Developments at TESCAN XRE enable researchers to reach temporal resolutions below 10 seconds on a routine basis.

In this webinar the key aspects of time-resolved dynamic X-ray CT will be discussed, starting from basic concepts. We focus on dedicated hard- and software solutions, such as unique acquisition and reconstruction strategies. Challenges and possibilities in dynamic micro CT imaging in the laboratory will be demonstrated across materials science, life science and geoscience applications.

Presenter - Fredrick Coppens, Applications Scientist at TESCAN XRE

Frederik Coppens is application scientist for TESCAN XRE at the micro-CT technology center in Belgium. He has been active in micro-CT technology for 8 years, covering on a broad array of applications. Previously to this, he has been involved with R&D of materials in industry after receiving a M.Sc. in physics from Ghent University.
