Workshop: Interoperability in the METS and Mining Sectors
What is interoperability and how does it affect your business?
The Global Mining Group (formerly GMSG) together with METS Ignited is hosting a series of workshops with industry to progress interoperability across the mining sector.
Interoperability is a challenge facing businesses across the METS and mining sectors.
GMG and METS Ignited would like to hear from METS companies, mining houses, research bodies and government on how interoperability is affecting your organisation and business.
The workshop is suited to owners and key decision-makers of established and emerging supply companies, senior mine management (e.g. superintendents, site managers, instrumentation technicians), researchers working in the technology space, PhD students, and government policy makers.
GMG has identified interoperability of mining equipment and systems as a priority initiative for the international community. Work is underway to develop interoperability definitions and an international roadmap that will assist in unifying opportunities across the value chain.
Your input, together with material from north and South America and Africa, will be used to develop the roadmap.
