Hedweld Group of Companies aims to provide improved safety and efficiency through innovative solutions for the mining and earthmoving industries. Their specialised products deliver significant productivity gains for mining maintenance workshops. Despite the hard times, last year Hedweld entered 3 new export markets and exports now represent 57% of total sales. Hedweld now exports to 31 countries. It was due to these achievements that on Wednesday night Hedweld was awarded the 2015 Premier's NSW Export Awards, Regional Exporter of the Year.

Global Markets Development Manager Kristy Hedley said upon acceptance, “This award is a result of a great team effort as everyone at Hedweld has contributed to our export excellence. We are proud of our business and export achievements, especially in the last 18 months where the low commodity price has affected METS companies globally. I'd like to take this opportunity to recognise and thank our international agents, suppliers and Hedweld USA Inc. Export is an extremely important part of our business and without them we would not have won this award.”

Hedweld has established itself as a world leader in the design and manufacture of mining and safety equipment and is known for its Trilift® range of component handling equipment and the Safe-Away® range of access systems and is now diversifying into Agri-Business. It has grown the business over the past 36 years and won Premiers NSW Export Awards in 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2015. Hedweld is now a finalist in the 53rd Australian Export Awards to be announced on Friday 27 November 2015 in Melbourne.
