IMARC 2016: Danielle Nardini, Project Manager - Systems, Sandvik

The opening session on Wednesday in Austmine's Technology Theatre took a deep look into integrated mining and how we can improve data and systems inter-connectivity in operations. Danielle Nardini, Project Manager - Systems, Sandvik put together a great presentation on  "Taking the Lid Off’: Providing Visibility and Control to Underground Mining".

Danielle provided an overview of Optimine, Sandvik's information management system that provides greater visibility of mining operations across the entire value chain by integrating with other software systems. Their Automine solution was then detailed, which is an automation platform that allows for greater control over mining operations. She posed two main questions in this session: "What can you do with greater visibility" and "What can you do with greater control?:"
