Improved User Experience with Upgrades to Austmine’s OZ METS Hub Platform

Austmine has increased the opportunities for our members to showcase their technology and services with upgrades to our directory platform – OZ METS Hub. The platform was launched in October last year to provide a single stand-alone database of the most innovative Australian METS companies. This came with many new features and has allowed our members to include videos, company brochures and white papers and google map location services, whilst making it simpler for users to navigate the site and find the companies they are looking for.

Since then, we have worked in the background to continue upgrading the user experience on this website. The Content Management System (CMS) has been improved and is critical to the functionality, reliability, security and longevity of the website. Following this, we have maintained and upgraded the plugins and licenses to ensure they remain functioning together and support the CMS. Plugins that have been improved just this month include EasyGallery, Iframe, MailChimp Plus, EasyNews, Easy Rotator, JQ Articles, Easy Maps and more. We has also replaced the URL rewriting component on the server. The new one supports a special facility in the new article manager, which is used for the new directory.

Here is a demonstration of the new benefits in the listing for the company 3D Image Automation:
