Mader Group has officially been named Mining Contractor of the Year at this year’s AMM Future of Mining Awards in Sydney
With over 16 entrants, Mader was up against some impressive contenders, including the category’s 5 finalists; Barminco, Coal Augering Services, Cougar Drilling and SMS Mining.
This award is an incredible achievement for Mader and a solid reflection of a hardworking team with an unparalleled dedication towards delivering customer excellence.
Founded in Western Australia, Mader quickly forged a reputation in the industry as the mechanically minded specialists in mobile and fixed plant maintenance. It all began in 2005, off the back of Founder and Executive Director, Luke Mader, our first-ever tradesman on the tools.
Working as a single man band out of his ute in the Kimberley, Luke has grown the business from humble beginnings.
Since then, Mader has seen unprecedented growth, deploying its workforce throughout the major mining regions of Australia, Asia, Africa and America.
During the qualifying period for the Mining Contractor of the Year Award, Mader experienced a major uptick in work which led the company to grow from 550 staff to 1015.
In August 2018, Mader opened an office in Colarado, USA, shortly followed by the opening of an office in NSW in early 2019.
Mader was also recently shortlisted as a finalist in the category of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) for the 2018/19 AIM WA Pinnacle Awards which was held last week at The Westin, Perth – a win taken out by Rio Tinto.
