Network, Connect and Re-Connect, MICROMINE making their IMARC
MICROMINE is excited to be exhibiting its intuitive mining solutions at the annual International Mining and Resources Conference (IMARC), where global mining leaders connect with technology, finance and the future. Now in its 6th year, it is Australia’s largest mining event bringing together over 7000 decision makers, mining leaders, policy makers, investors, commodity buyers, technical experts, innovators and educators from over 100 countries to Melbourne for four days of learning, deal-making and unparalleled networking.
The event will take place at Melbourne’s Convention and Exhibition Centre from the 29th October – 31st October 2019 and will have a strong focus on the latest innovation, trends and new technology in the resources sector.
Over 7,000 decision makers, mining leaders, policy makers, investors, commodity buyers, technical experts, innovators and educators from over 90 countries will be in attendance for four days of learning, deal-making and networking.
“IMARC is one of our biggest events for MICROMINE in Australia, it gives us such a great opportunity to meet and connect with senior mining executives from across the resource industry” Global Marketing Manager, Kate Gilbey commented.
2019 has been an incredibly busy year for MICROMINE - with the upcoming release of new versions of 3D modelling and mine design solution Micromine 2020 and data management solution Geobank 2020 (due FYQ3).
3D modelling and mine design solution Micromine 2020 is due for release early November, offers intuitive, feature-rich solutions that meet our clients’ needs and delivers superior functionality across the entire mining value chain.
“Geologists, engineers, mine planners and production schedulers can all benefit from the enhanced speed, efficiency, tools and features of MICROMINE’s new software” added Gilbey.
One of the most compelling added features in Micromine 2020 is a new stope optimisation tool. The underground equivalent of Micromine’s existing pit optimisation module, stope optimiser gives mine planners the means to generate optimal stope outlines to meet design and economic parameters. For open pit miners, the stope optimiser enables the generation of most appropriate diglines for minimum mining width.
The addition of new implicit modelling tools for geological modelling is another key upgrade promising to add significant value to Micromine 2020 users.
The implicit modelling function assists geologists in resource modelling by using known data points (like drillholes), interpreted points, and a mathematical model to build a surface or solid defining a region or domain.
Upgrades and new functionalities incorporated into Micromine’s existing scheduler tool also means that planning engineers can access the best scheduling tools on the market.
Other noteworthy new additions in Micromine 2020 include:
- new point cloud import and data filtering tools for surveyors and engineers;
- the ability for explorers and geologists to visualize private and government web map services layers in Vizex;
- user-friendly import and export options for omf files, from or to, other gmps; and
- an import option for ioGas files.
Geobank focusses on being a practical and flexible solution that enables access to knowledge through data. Geobank aids the collection, storage, transformation, analysis and dispersal of Earth Science observation and measurements.
Geobank 2020 includes a new Forms feature that enables the flexibility for a company to configure the user interface they need. Geobank can be configured to deliver on your company’s business process, rather than dictate business processes that suit the solution.
“We have exhibited at IMARC for the past few years and we are excited to get back there this year and showcase our new exciting software releases” Gilbey commented.
Attendees at IMARC 2019 will get the opportunity to see scheduled live demonstrations of these new versions, providing an in-depth look at how our products assist mining companies across the entire mining cycle. MICROMINE’s Product Specialists will be available to answer technical questions and deliver software demonstrations at the MICROMINE booth throughout the event.
“The agenda for the event looks really impressive with a strong networking schedule and targeted workshops focusing on some important challenges the industry is facing at the moment such as collaboration and innovation. IMARC provides a great platform to explore these topics” Gilbey added.
MICROMINE will be located at booth E17 throughout the event.
