WIMnet NSW Mentoring Program 2019

The WIMnet NSW Mentoring Program is back for its fifth year in 2019!  Tailored for women working in the resources sector, previous participants have come from mining, oil and gas and mining services companies across the full range of disciplines from engineering and geology through to accounting, human resources and environmental roles.

The program follows a structured process​ that includes a comprehensive​ matching framework conducted​ by a Registered Psychologist.​ Successful applicants are​ provided with comprehensive​ training, invitations to three program​ networking events, access to​ industry representatives and the​ opportunity to learn and receive​ career guidance from a mentor​ that is fully invested in their​ career and development.​ Mentees are encouraged to conduct 5 -7 sessions with their mentor over the five-month duration of the Program. 

Only 30 mentee places are​ available, and those selected​ will be expertly matched with a​ female or male leader from the​ resources industry. Mentees from​ all areas of the resources sector in​ NSW are welcome to apply.​

The WIMnet NSW Mentoring​ Program will run from May​ to October 2019. More information and mentee​ application forms are available​ from the AusIMM website on  The closing date for applications is 8 March.

Mandatory training and a launch​ networking event will be held at the end of May 2019 in Sydney for all​ successful applicants. The cost is​ $1,000 (+GST) per person with some scholarships available.
