CEEC Leader Recognised in Award

The Chief Executive of CEEC (the Coalition for Energy Efficient Comminution), Alison Keogh, has been awarded a prestigious industry scholarship.

Alison was one of four recipients of the 2017 AICD (Australian Institute of Company Directors) scholarships for Exceptional Women in Mining. The scholarships, supported by the Minerals Council of Australia in partnership with BHP and Downer, provide funding to complete the world class AICD Company Director’s Course.

CEEC is a not-for-profit, public-good organisation which aims to increase the efficiency of minerals production by communicating and celebrating best practices throughout the industry.

The Chair of CEEC, Mr Joe Pease said that Alison is both Chief Executive and Company Secretary of the Board, which consists of volunteer industry professionals.

Joe said “I am delighted that Alison’s work has been recognised. In her role Alison interacts closely with industry professionals, senior management and Boards. Completing this course will help Alison contribute even further to the CEEC Board, the industry, and the public good.”

The award was presented in Canberra this week at the inaugural Women in Mining Breakfast.
