IMARC 2016: Dr Mick Tuck, Associate Professor of Mining Engineering, Federation University

The final session of day one in Austmine's Technology Theatre saw miners, METS and researchers discuss the need for our sector to embrace partnerships and collaboration. Dr Micahel Tuck, Associate Professor of Mining Engineering, Federation University addressed the question "can industry and academia work together?" 

He spoke about opportunities to partner with research for commercially viable outcomes, citing the drivers of the industry and researchers and espousing the benefits of what universities have to offer. Michael finished off his presentation by listing the keys to success in partnerships between the private sector and research institutes.
