Peru – Vitals, Person Proximity Monitoring and Reporting Tool
Austmine, METS Ignited and Linkminers invite you to apply for the supply opportunity 'Vitals, Person Proximity Monitoring and Reporting Tool' This opportunity is part of the Virtual Supplier Development Program (VSDP) - Peru.
Monitoring people in a remote mining operation is a complex procedure, especially in the underground mining environment. COVID-19 has further complicated personnel tracking and tracing, with new procedures and technologies needed for reporting and identification.
A solution is required that allows the monitoring of personnel at the company's office, and mine site, both above and underground. The tool should be capable of monitoring body temperature, oxygen saturation, proximity to people and GPS location.
The tool should be able to report this information to the company's database as soon as it has access to the company's network access points. The data collected will be used to allow the monitoring of personnel's health and take the necessary measures when a positive COVID-19 case is reported.
This is an underground operation where gold extraction is undertaken from narrow veins using the cut and fill method.
To submit a solution, complete the challenge application form here.
Challenge submissions close on Monday 14th September at 5pm AWST / 7pm AEST
Solutions will be shortlisted and successful companies will be notified to attend a challenge Q&A session with the operations on the 22nd or 23rd September. METS companies will pitch their solutions directly to the mining company across the 29th September – 30th October.
