Size Reduction Systems for Handling Large Rocks in Mining Operations

Deadline: Thursday 18th June 2020

EXPANDE invites you to prequalify for a new challenge of BHP's Escondida Mine "Secondary reduction systems for handling oversized rocks".

Solutions are sought to reduce (break, split, crack) the size of the rocks in the loading face, to improve their haulage and subsequent crushing.

This solution must comply with the following requirements:

  • It must be compatible with the HSE standards and operational conditions of the mine.
  • Minimise or eliminate the operational interference.
  • Minimise or eliminate the workforce.

If prequalified, you'll be invited to participate in the BHP Open Innovation process, where you may be awarded a pilot contract with the mining company.

To participate, follow this link: https://fch.brightidea.com/BHP112020ReduccionSecundaria, register and upload your proposal by Thursday 18th June 2020.
