South Australian Department of State Development PDAC Delegation
REGISTRATION DEADLINE 29 JANUARY 2016
Are you an innovative company looking to grow? Would you like to build new relationships, enter new markets and gain a truly global perspective of where opportunities lie?
In a South Australian first, the Department of State Development (DSD) will lead a mining equipment and technology delegation to Ontario, Canada in March 2016. The delegation will be treated to a rare opportunity to witness latest service trends and technologies as well as meet with global industry representatives.
Beginning in Toronto (March 6-8), the delegation will firstly take part in the 2016 Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) conference. PDAC is one of the largest mining conferences in the world, attracting more than 23,000 attendees in 2015 alone.
In a unique collaboration between the Ontario Ministry for Northern Development and DSD, the delegation will then be treated to a guided tour of the nearby Sudbury mining services cluster. Consisting of more than 500 companies, this world-renowned cluster boasts some of the most technologically advanced service provides in the world and will provide a rare opportunity for South Australian businesses to engage directly with potential partners or new customers.
The delegation will be coordinated by the Mining Industry Participation Office within DSD and will be accompanied by a ministerial envoy and senior agency representatives. Given the size of the conference, hotel accommodation is expected to be at a premium, so a limited number of rooms will be available at government rates for early registrants. A draft itinerary is attached detailing events and proposed travel arrangements.
This will be an invaluable chance to connect with new markets and discover new opportunities, so be sure to register early for what is sure to be a popular event.
