METS Export Growth Program

The Victoria METS Export Hub Export Growth Program will start on 2 June with an in person welcome event where you can network with other participants prior to the program starting.

This on-line program consists of a series of interactive workshops and mentoring support. In-person networking events will complement the on-line program and provide a great opportunity to build your networks further.

Based on last year's program, we expect interest to be very high, so it would be good to register early.

The program consists of seven consecutive, interactive workshops which are designed to take your company to the next level by providing you with insights into global customers, with real examples and then working through strategies to capture new opportunities.

The program is open to Victorian Companies who sell into the mining value chain (Mining Equipment, Technology and Services - METS) or have the capability and wish to do so. The program will lift your business to the next level of export readiness.

The program will provide insights into:
  • Refining your company's pitch
  • Why export as a growth strategy is relevant in a pandemic?
  • Potential international opportunities aligned with your capability and experience
  • How customers view your offering?
  • Developing a customer-centric approach

During the last workshops you will have the opportunity to pitch your offering to a panel of potential customers, putting your learnings to the test. Your mentors will be available between workshops to support your business further.

Throughout the program and between workshops participants will be supported by a team of experienced exporter mentors including:

  • Bob Calvert - Bob is a past board member of Austmine with 50 years experience in Sales and Marketing and Global and National distribution within local and international companies such as Jayben, Haulmax, Caterpillar and Elphinstone and others.
  • Mark Gream - Mark also has extensive international business experience in the engineering, mining and manufacturing sectors with companies including Marfab, Hedweld, Southern Engineering Services and Tamburlaine Wines.
  • Robert Trzebski - Robert is Austmine’s Director of International Business and has wide-ranging experience leading international trade missions and supporting companies access METS global supply chains.

Spaces are limited to 20 participants only to ensure quality of outcome, and go from 8 - 10am on a Thursday.
