In recent years, Peru has developed into a mining powerhouse and is amongst the top global producers of copper, gold, zinc and silver, along with boasting an emerging critical minerals sector. Mining industry development in Peru has been spurred on by significant foreign investment in the sector, with Glencore, Anglo American, BHP, MMG, Hochschild Mining, Teck Resources, Southern Copper Corporation, Hudbay Minerals, and Gold Fields having significant operational and development projects. 

Mission Details

Taking place the week following Perumin 35, this Austmine trade mission provides delegates with first-hand insights into the emerging opportunities for suppliers in Peru and key connections to super-charge business growth in the market. 

Delegates will have the opportunity to:

  • Visit the world-leading Antamina copper-zinc project and see their mining operations, process plant, pipeline, tailings facility and more. Present to Antamina's senior management and discuss operational challenges and priorities with their team. 
  • Participate in a range of executive meetings in Lima with major and mid-tier mining companies, global engineering houses, government representatives and potential partners.
  • Receive the latest insights on the Peruvian mining industry and gain advice on successful market entry with expert briefings from local consultants
  • Engage in valuable networking opportunities with miners, suppliers, government and associations.

Registration

Mission fee: $1,500 + GST. 
The mission fee covers ground transport, accommodation for Antamina site visit, networking events, catering and other items.
Mission fee excludes meals, flights and accommodation in Lima, although Austmine will book the hotel for the group.
